Although this forum is free to use there are rules and forum etiquette that should be followed. Failure to comply with these rules could lead to a temporary or even permanent ban (depending on the severity of the case). These rules will be altered and changed as the need arises so check back often. Ignorance of a rule will not help your case. Please read the following before registering or posting on this forum.
Forum Etiquette - Or how to treat others
1. Be respectful with your posts. Do not insult, demean or participate in any name calling. It is uncalled for and will not be tolerated.
2. Please refrain from making too many "one word" posts. Users constantly making one word posts that add nothing to the topic will be warned as part of our three strike policy. On the third strike (depending on the severity) that user's account could be temporarily or permanently banned. We want everyone to enjoy the forums to the fullest, but pointless posts help no one.
3. When you enter this forum, please leave the Caps Lock button off. We do not need posts in all caps. We do not like it and neither do forum members.
4. Do not create multiple accounts for yourself. You do not need more than one account for this forum, so please respect this rule.
5. Refrain from using excessive profanity. We will tolerate foul language but keep it somewhat civilized. We currently do not censor any words from posts, so please don't give us a reason to start doing so.
6. We do not tolerate spamming. If a spam thread is started whose sole purpose is to sell something or is just plain pointless, it will be deleted (see Buying and Selling below). We also will not tolerate private message spamming. If a user is the victim of private message spamming, we ask that the user forward the offensive message to admin so the violator can be dealt with. No one likes spam. Ever.
7. The search function is there for your benefit. Before posting a thread, please use the search function to ensure that topic has not already been created.
8. Try to remain on-topic in discussions. We understand all threads will have slight deviations in topic, but if you stray too far off course and an admin suggests the thread get back on-topic, please do so.
9. Piracy discussions will not be tolerated at all. Pirating is illegal. If a user admits to pirating a game, talks about how to pirate a game or provides a link for the purpose of pirating, that user will face a permanent ban. The three strikes rule goes right out the window in these cases.
Buying and Selling
1. We do not allow ANY buying or selling to take place on these forums. This is to protect our users and forum members from fraud.
2. If a thread sneaks by us and a transaction occurs, it is at your own risk. Wake Now accepts NO responsibility for the sale.
Posting Media (i.e. Videos, Images, etc.)
1. Please do not post media that is inappropriate for younger forum members. This would include videos with excessive profanity, nudity, drug use, etc. Using common sense will tell you whether a video is appropriate material or not.
2. Anyone posting a pornographic video or image will be permanently banned. Period.
3. Media that falls under the category of copyright infringement will be removed immediately. The first offense is free, but continued violation of this rule by the same user will result in a ban.
Disciplinary Action
1. All disciplinary action is at the discretion of the admins and will be considered on a case by case basis. We do not play favorites here. If you break the rules, the punishment will be fair. No member will be treated more harshly than another.
Forum Signatures
Forum signatures can be no larger than 600 pixels wide and 128 pixels tall. Any signatures that do not meet this requirement will be removed.
